Western India Institute of Aeronautics (WIIA), established in 2004 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a DGCA-approved aviation training institute dedicated to developing skilled professionals for the growing aircraft maintenance and aviation industry in India and abroad. A DGCA-approved three-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program focused on turbine jet engines and aeroplane mechanical systems, where students learn both theory and practical maintenance skills and qualify to obtain a B1.1 AME licence upon completing DGCA modules and training requirements.
A DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program that focuses on piston-engine aircraft, training students in maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of piston engines and related aeroplane systems, emphasising aviation safety, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance.
A DGCA-approved AME program focused on helicopter turbine engines that trains students in maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of helicopter powerplant and mechanical systems, preparing them to become licensed helicopter maintenance engineers.
A DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program focused on avionics systems, training students in the inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and certification of aircraft electrical, instrument, communication, navigation, and electronic systems to prepare them for roles as licensed avionics maintenance engineers.
An advanced 10-day (80-hour) drone training program designed for participants who already have basic drone flying knowledge. The course focuses on advanced flight techniques, aircraft inspection using drones, data collection and analysis, and real-world case studies to build specialized skills in drone operations and inspection missions
A professional cabin crew training program that teaches students the fundamentals of airline passenger service, safety procedures, aircraft types, emergency handling, customer relations, and communication skills to prepare them for roles as flight attendants and related positions in domestic and international airlines.
A certificate course that provides students with foundational knowledge in aviation operations, airport and airline management, hospitality services, travel industry fundamentals, customer service, communication skills, and professional grooming to prepare them for careers in aviation, airports, travel agencies, hotels, and related sectors.
