About us

Established in 1995, located at the Baramati Airport of Pune district, Maharashtra, we’re one of the oldest privately operated Flight Training Organizations (FTO) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) colleges in India today.
Carver Aviation is both: a DGCA and an ISO 9001:2015 certified aviation school that also provides numerous other ancillary aviation solutions.

Courses

Commercial Pilot License ( CPL )

Ground training includes 120 hours for SPL & FRTOL(R) and 350 hours for CPL theory.
Simulator training of minimum 20 hours on single-engine and multi-engine glass cockpit simulators.
Flying training of minimum 200 hours, including at least 15 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
Flight hours may exceed 200 based on cadet performance and regularity.
AELP training of minimum 30 hours with assessment and testing.

Age Requirement : must be at least 18 years of age on the date of application

Education Requirement : must have a higher secondary or equivalent 10+2 pass certificate with a minimum 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and English from a recognized Examination Board.

Fitness Requirement : As per Rule 39B of the DGCA - approved candidate must obtain a medical fitness certificate from a DGCA approved medical examiner

Private Pilot License

Learn to fly for personal or recreational purposes
Gain the freedom to pilot small aircraft independently
DGCA-approved PPL course to fly single-engine aircraft for personal and recreational purposes.
Includes ground training in Navigation, Meteorology, Aerodynamics, Radio Telephony, and Aviation Law.
Covers flight training and AELP to build practical flying skills.
Suitable for aviation enthusiasts of all ages, conducted at a DGCA-approved institute.

Age Requirement : Minimum age for application into a PPL program: 17 years.

Education Requirement : must have a secondary or equivalent 10th standard pass certificate.

Fitness Requirement : must obtain a Class II Medical Certificate from a DGCA approved medical examiner or form CA 35

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)

DGCA-approved AME course focused on aircraft maintenance and safety.
Covers airframes, engines, avionics, and aviation regulations.
Emphasis on hands-on practical training with real aircraft.
Prepares students for DGCA exams and aviation industry careers.

Age : Age of 16 to 28 years during the admission.

Education Requirement : Passed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized examination board.

Fitness Requirement : Medically fit and not afflicted by colour blindness.

English Language Proficiency

AELP training and testing is mandatory for CPL and PPL as per DGCA and ICAO guidelines.
Licences cannot be issued or renewed without a valid AELP endorsement.
Carver Aviation is a DGCA-approved AELP Training and Testing Centre since 2021.
Includes minimum 30 hours of training, available in online and offline modes.
Covers aviation communication skills, with testing at Baramati and Mumbai centres (Level 4 minimum pass).

FAQ's

What is a Private Pilot License (PPL)?

A DGCA-approved PPL allows you to fly aircraft for non-commercial purposes (i.e., recreational flying). Minimum age: 17 years. Flight time: Minimum 40 hours of flying training (Dual & solo flying, including a minimum of 5 hours of cross-country). DGCA Class 2 Medical Certificate. Exams: 4 DGCA subjects + flight test.
