Star Aviation Academy is a DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) training institute located on the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram (Haryana), India. Established in 2005, it was approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, under CAR-147 (Basic) to provide quality AME education that meets ICAO and EASA-aligned standards for aircraft maintenance training. The academy was set up with the objective of delivering high-standard theoretical and practical AME instruction to aspirants, helping bridge the industry’s demand for competent aircraft maintenance professionals. Over the years, Star Aviation has built a reputation for its training methods, practical exposure, and industry links to prepare students for aircraft engineering careers in both Indian and international aviation sectors.
This stream focuses on the mechanical and structural maintenance of aircraft, including turbine engines, airframe, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, landing gear, and related mechanical components. The curriculum combines classroom theory with practical workshop training aligned with the DGCA CAR-147 (Basic) syllabus to prepare students for the B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering licence.
This stream covers aircraft avionics and electrical systems, such as flight instruments, communication and navigation equipment, electrical power generation/distribution, and related electronics. Training prepares students for DGCA-recognised maintenance roles in avionics and for the B2 AME licence.
