Regional Institute of Aviation (RIA India) is an aviation training institute based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, that specialises in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) education. It is part of a long-running educational group with decades of experience in professional and technical training. The Mechanical Stream is part of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) programme at Regional Institute of Aviation. It aligns with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulatory requirements and focuses on the mechanical aspects of aircraft maintenance such as airframe, engine systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and other mechanical components that are essential for aircraft airworthiness and airframe safety. This stream prepares students for careers in aircraft maintenance with strong emphasis on practical and theoretical aviation skills.
The Avionics Stream at Regional Institute of Aviation (RIA India) is part of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) training programme focused on aircraft electrical, electronic and avionics systems. This stream equips students with knowledge and practical skills related to aircraft instruments, navigation systems, communication systems, radar, electrical power distribution, flight controls, and avionics troubleshooting. It follows the DGCA-approved AME syllabus and prepares learners for roles in aircraft avionics maintenance as required in the aviation industry.
