Hindustan Aerospace & Engineering (HAE), Pune, established in 2005, is a DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering institute under CAR-147 (Basic) and part of the renowned Sha-Shib Group, one of South Asia’s largest aviation training networks. Category B1.1 – Mechanical
This stream focuses on heavy aircraft maintenance with turbine jet engines. Training under this category equips students with skills in maintaining airframes, powerplants, hydraulics, structures and mechanical systems of larger commercial aircraft.

This mechanical stream focuses on piston engine and light aircraft structure maintenance, covering inspection, repair and certification of piston-powered aircraft systems. Successful completion plus work experience and DGCA module passes leads to an AME licence in B1.2.

The B2 stream focuses on aircraft electrical, avionics, radio, navigation and instrument systems. Graduates are trained to inspect, maintain and certify avionics systems in line with DGCA-CAR-66 regulations.

Is Hindustan Aerospace & Engineering DGCA-approved?
Yes. HAE Pune was approved in 2005 by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, and holds current CAR-147 (Basic) approval. It is also certified to ISO 9001:2015.
What is the AME course fee at HAE Pune?
Rs.5,30,000 in total, per the fee structure published by the institute: Rs.20,000 registration, Rs.2,00,000 admission, Rs.5,000 library, Rs.1,00,000 tuition in each of the three years, and Rs.5,000 for uniform.
What costs are on top of the course fee?
Practical training at outsourced facilities, which the institute's fee document puts at Rs.1,00,000 to Rs.1,20,000, plus DGCA examination fees, technical visit expenses, and GST and other government taxes as applicable.
Are there any fee concessions?
The published fee document offers 10% off tuition for students scoring 90% or above in the qualifying examination, or 15% off tuition if the total fee is paid as a lump sum. Only one of the two concessions applies.
What is the refund policy?
Per the institute's published rules: 30% of fees deducted if admission is cancelled within 15 days, 50% if cancelled between 15 and 30 days, and no refund after 30 days. Fees are forfeited entirely if a student cancels after attending classes even for a single day. Confirm the current policy in writing before paying.
Which AME streams does HAE offer?
