Redwings Aerotechnique Pvt Ltd is an aviation training organisation and aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) provider approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The group operates from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, and combines industry-level practical exposure with academic training to prepare students for careers in the aviation sector. It emphasises hands-on learning, real-world experience and strong placement support in airlines, MROs and aviation service companies.
The institute offers professional programmes in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) and a Dual Program combining AME with B.E in Aeronautical Engineering, designed to enhance both practical maintenance skills and academic qualifications. Through its own DGCA-approved maintenance facility and partnerships in the aviation industry, Redwings aims to ensure practical competence and employment opportunities for its graduates.
The B1.1 Mechanical stream at Redwings Aerotechnique Pvt Ltd focuses on the study and maintenance of turbine engines and heavy aeroplane structures. Successful students who clear all DGCA Basic Knowledge Module examinations and complete the maintenance experience requirements as per Civil Aviation Requirement-66 are eligible to obtain the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Licence – Category B1.1 from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA, India). This licence qualifies graduates to work as certifying mechanical maintenance engineers on turbine aircraft.
The Category B1.2 stream in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering focuses on the study and maintenance of piston-engine aircraft and light aeroplane structures. Students are trained in mechanical systems specific to piston-powered aircraft, including airframe, engine, fuel and related systems. This stream prepares learners to fulfil DGCA-approved basic AME training requirements under CAR-147 and work towards the B1.2 licence.
The B2 Avionics stream prepares students for the aviation electrical and avionics side of aircraft maintenance. It covers systems such as aircraft instruments, communication, navigation, radar, flight control electronics, electrical power generation/distribution, and other avionics systems. The training follows the DGCA-approved AME syllabus under CAR-147 (Basic) and equips students with the knowledge and practical exposure needed to pursue the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence – Category B2 from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA, India). Successful completion enables graduates to work on electrical, avionics and instrumentation systems within aircraft maintenance operations.
