IGIA Global Cadet Pilot Program

Is IGIA a flying school?
No. IGIA is a ground school and pilot-pathway provider, not a DGCA-approved Flight Training Organisation. It delivers DGCA CPL theory classes in India and arranges the actual flying through partner FTOs abroad. If you want to log flying hours in India, you will need a DGCA-approved FTO instead.
How does the Global Cadet Pilot Program work?
Five stages over about 22 months: DGCA CPL ground classes in India (5 months), flight training in South Africa to obtain a CPL with multi-engine rating (12 months), licence conversion and Class 1 medical renewal in order to apply for the DGCA CPL (1 month), type rating on Airbus, Boeing or ATR (2 months), and airline selection preparation (2 months).
What are the DGCA CPL ground classes?
The classroom programme that prepares candidates for the five compulsory DGCA CPL theory papers. It is the first step of the pilot journey and a prerequisite before or alongside building flying hours.
What does IGIA cost?
IGIA does not publish a fee schedule on its own website.
