The Aerospace Research and Development Centre (ARDC) in Barasat, Kolkata is a leading DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) institute under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, offering industry-aligned training under CAR-66 and CAR-147 Basic regulations. As part of the Sha-Shib Group of Institutions—one of South Asia’s largest aviation training networks with over 34 years of legacy—ARDC combines modern infrastructure, experienced aviation faculty, and hands-on learning to prepare students for successful careers in aircraft maintenance and aviation technology. The campus features functional aircraft for practical training, well-equipped workshops, spacious classrooms, aviation libraries, and industry-oriented methodology to ensure students are technically competent and job-ready upon graduation.
A comprehensive 3-year aviation training programme designed to teach students how to maintain, repair and ensure the airworthiness of aircraft. The curriculum covers both theoretical and practical modules including aircraft structures, propulsion systems, electrical systems, avionics, and maintenance procedures. The programme is delivered under the DGCA-approved CAR-66/CAR-147 syllabus and includes hands-on training with live aircraft and workshop exposure.
