About us

The oldest operating training school for pilots in Gujarat, the Gujarat Flying Club was established at Baroda (now Vadodara) on 20th December 1958 under the guidance of its founder president, the late Ramanbhai Amin, an industrialist and keen aviator.

Gujarat Flying Club (GFC) was established in the year 1958 and situated in Vadodara city, State of Gujarat. It is just 5 kms away from the Railway Station and Central Bus Depot. It is approved from Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The club has produced a number of commercial pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, flight engineers, as well as flying instructors. It offers Commercial Pilot License and Student Pilot License programs. The college also provides the fee installment facility to the students.
The college has all necessary facilities in the campus area. The college has latest teaching mediums including computerized training and video instruction. The faculty of college is highly qualified, dedicated and experience in the field of aviation education.

Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) course at Gujarat Flying Club is a DGCA-approved non-commercial pilot training program that enables individuals to learn how to fly an aircraft independently for personal and recreational purposes through a combination of ground school and practical flight training on single-engine aircraft. On completion, candidates are eligible to hold a PPL and act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

Age : 17 years

Education : 10th Pass (SSC)

Medical Requirement : DGCA Class 2 Medical Certificate

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)

The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course at Gujarat Flying Club is a DGCA-approved professional pilot training program designed for individuals who want to build a career as a commercial pilot. The course includes comprehensive ground training and practical flight training as per DGCA syllabus, preparing students to operate aircraft professionally for airline or charter operations.

Minimum Age : 18 years

Educational Qualification : 12th pass with Physics & Mathematics

Medical Requirement : DGCA Class 2 at admission, Class 1 for licence issue

Multi-Engine & Instrument Rating

The ME + IR (Multi-Engine & Instrument Rating) course at Gujarat Flying Club is a DGCA-approved pilot training program designed to add both multi-engine flying capability and instrument flight rating (IR) to a pilot’s existing Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). It includes practical flying training on multi-engine aircraft and preparation for DGCA instrument flight standards, enhancing a pilot’s qualifications for professional flying and advanced aircraft operations.

Minimum Qualification : 12th Standard Certificate

Minimum Age : 18 years

Medical : DGCA Class 1 Medical Certificate

Licence Conversion

The Licence Conversion course at Gujarat Flying Club is a short DGCA-approved training program that enables pilots with existing licences to convert their credentials to comply with Indian aviation regulations. It includes ground theory preparation for DGCA examination papers and practical flying training on single-engine aircraft as per the regulator’s syllabus to update or align the converted licence with Indian requirements.

Medical Requirement : DGCA Class 1 Medical Certificate

Licence Renewal

The Licence Renewal service at Gujarat Flying Club is a DGCA-aligned process to help pilots renew their existing Indian pilot licences that are expiring or have lapsed. It includes the necessary flying checks and administrative compliance as per DGCA regulations to reinstate a valid pilot licence for continued legal flying.

Licence Type : Valid/expired DGCA pilot licence (PPL/CPL etc.)

Medical Requirement : Up-to-date DGCA medical certificate (Class 1 or Class 2 per licence)

DGCA Compliance : Completion of any regulator-mandated refresher or exam if needed
