About us
The Banasthali Vidyapith Gliding and Flying Club (BVGFC) was established on January 9, 2009 at Banasthali University in Tonk, Rajasthan. The club offers gliding and flying classes, and uses the university's 50,191,418 sq. meter licensed airstrip for training. The club also has a 9,000 sq. ft. hangar with modern equipment that can accommodate more than a dozen aircraft.
The club has been part of Banasthali's learning program since the early 1960s, and was the first organization in India to offer helicopter training after independence. The club also offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science, and trains crew members and professionals to international standards.

Courses
Private Pilot License(PPL)
The Private Pilot License (PPL) course is designed for aviation enthusiasts who wish to fly their own aircraft. It provides the essential knowledge and practical training required to operate a private plane safely and confidently.
Age : Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of joining
Medical Fitness : A valid Class II Medical Certificate issued by a DGCA-approved doctor is mandatory.
Education Level : Completion of 10th grade or equivalent from a recognized board and proficiency in English as per ICAO standards.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) program at Banasthali Vidhyapith Gliding & Flying Club is designed to prepare aspiring pilots for a professional flying career. The course combines comprehensive ground training with hands-on flight experience, in line with DGCA requirements.
Age : Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of joining
Medical Fitness : A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate issued by a DGCA-approved doctor is mandatory
Education Level : You must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics and Math as compulsory subjects to be eligible for the CPL program
Instructor Rating
The Flight Instructor program is designed for CPL holders who wish to pursue a career in pilot training. It focuses on developing both technical knowledge and effective teaching skills to prepare future aviation professionals.
Age : Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in the Flying Instructor Training Program.
Medical Fitness : A valid Class I Medical Certificate is mandatory, ensuring fitness standards as per DGCA guidelines.
Education Level : Applicants must hold a current CPL issued or approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
