Established in 2006 and managed by the renowned Sha-Shib Group, Indian Aerospace, and Engineering (IAE), Mumbai stands as a leading CAR-147 (Basic) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) institute recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The B1.1 Mechanical (Aeroplane Turbine) specialisation provides focused training in the mechanical aspects of aircraft maintenance for turbine-powered aircraft. This includes in-depth study and hands-on experience in airframes, powerplant systems, hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, and other mechanical components of jet and large aircraft. The course combines theory with practical training designed to prepare students for DGCA-approved examinations and future roles in airline and MRO maintenance departments.
The B2 Avionics stream at Indian Aerospace & Engineering, Mumbai delivers specialised training in aircraft electrical and electronic systems, communications and navigation equipment, power generation and distribution, instrumentation, and avionics troubleshooting. The programme blends classroom instruction with practical hands-on lab and workshop training to prepare students for DGCA-approved examinations and roles in avionics maintenance and certification.
