Avion Flight Training Centre (AFTC) Mumbai, located at Juhu Airport, is a modern aviation training facility delivering world-class pilot training aligned with global airline standards. Equipped with advanced DGCA-approved simulators and cutting-edge infrastructure, the centre specializes in Airbus A320 Type Rating, MCC/APS, recurrent training, and licence proficiency checks. Backed by experienced instructors with international airline backgrounds, Avion focuses on building strong technical skills, operational confidence, and airline readiness, making it a trusted destination for aspiring and professional pilots in India.
A comprehensive training program designed to qualify pilots on the Airbus A320 family, covering both initial type rating for fresh CPL holders and conversion courses for experienced pilots transitioning from other aircraft. The course focuses on advanced simulator training, aircraft systems, standard operating procedures, and real-world airline scenarios to ensure pilots are fully prepared for Airbus operations.
Multi-Crew Cooperation training develops the skills needed to operate a commercial flight deck as a coordinated two-pilot crew, covering task sharing, cross-checking, communication and decision-making under workload. The Airline Pilot Standards (APS) MCC variant extends this with airline-style scenarios and standard operating procedures aligned to airline recruitment expectations. Delivered on a Simnest A320 FNPT II fixed-base training device.
Periodic training required to keep a type rating and operating privileges current, covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, and systems handling on the A320. Conducted on the centre's full flight simulators to DGCA recurrent-training requirements.
A shortened conversion pathway for pilots moving between related Airbus types, taking advantage of common cockpit design and handling characteristics to reduce the training footprint compared with a full initial type rating.
Simulator-based proficiency checks and instrument rating renewals required to keep a commercial licence and its ratings valid, conducted on DGCA-approved full flight simulators with examiner support.
Training for experienced pilots qualifying as a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) or Type Rating Instructor (TRI), covering instructional technique, briefing and debriefing, simulator session management and assessment of trainee performance.
