SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur Campus is an affiliate of NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University), which has been accredited with A+ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has been recognized as a Tier 1 University by University Grants Commission (UGC). Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME) is approved by AICTE. School of Pharmacy & Technology Management is approved by PCI.
The picturesque riverside campus of NMIMS, Shirpur Campus, has a rich tradition of pursuing academic excellence and offers industry-oriented academic programs and excellent research infrastructure to equip its students with the skill set required to succeed in industry. It offers programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture and Textile. Courses
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) programme at NMIMS Academy of Aviation (AOA), a DGCA-approved flight training organisation based at Shirpur Airport, Maharashtra, is designed to prepare aspiring pilots for a professional flying career. The course includes structured ground school and theory instruction, flying training on modern aircraft (single-engine and multi-engine), simulator sessions, and meets DGCA regulatory requirements including minimum flight hours, preparing candidates for DGCA licence issuance and future airline opportunities.
Educational Qualification : 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics or 3-year engineering diploma with Physics & Mathematics as core subjects
Minimum Age : 17 years
Medical Fitness : DGCA Class II Medical certificate required to begin training
Private Pilot License (PPL)
The Private Pilot License (PPL) course at NMIMS Academy of Aviation is a DGCA-approved pilot training program that combines structured ground theory with flying training to prepare students for private, non-commercial flying. The program includes comprehensive flight hours and simulator sessions aligned with DGCA standards, enabling cadets to qualify as pilots who can operate light aircraft as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
Medical Fitness : Valid DGCA Class II Medical Certificate
Eligibility : As per DGCA criteria with documentation (e.g., age & educational details)
Assistant Flight Instructor Rating
The Assistant Flight Instructor Rating (AFIR) / Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) course at NMIMS Academy of Aviation trains experienced pilots to become certified flight instructors. The program focuses on developing instructional skills, including pre-flight and post-flight teaching, pattern flying instruction, and in-air coaching — enabling graduates to train future pilots in both theoretical and practical flying environments based on DGCA standards.
