Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Training at SpeedJet Aviation is a comprehensive pilot training programme designed to prepare aspiring pilots for careers in commercial aviation. It combines advanced theoretical instruction, computer-based training tools, flight training devices, and Level D full-flight simulator experience, with a total duration of around 12–15 months that includes FAA CPL training in the USA, DGCA ground training in India, and A320 type rating exposure to build the skills needed to become a professional airline pilot.
Cabin Crew Training
A professional cabin crew training programme that teaches aspirants the essential skills and knowledge for airline cabin service, including passenger safety and comfort, pre-flight procedures, emergency handling, communication, grooming, and customer relations, preparing them to work as competent cabin crew members in domestic and international aviation.
Ground Staff Training
This professional ground staff training programme prepares students for aviation ground operations, including passenger services, cargo handling, guest services, flight scheduling, and airport resource management, equipping them with practical skills needed to work as dynamic ground staff across airports.
Type Rating Training

FAQ's
Is Speed Jet Aviation DGCA approved?
No. Speedjet states it is NCVTE, Government of India approved. NCVTE is a vocational training certification body, not the aviation regulator. Speedjet's own website also states plainly that it is a soft-skills training institute and does not give any job guarantee. If you need DGCA-approved flight training or an AME licence, that must come from a DGCA-approved FTO or CAR-147 institute.
So what does Speedjet actually provide?
Ground-side and soft-skills training: DGCA ground classes (theory preparation), cabin crew training, ground staff training, aircraft type rating guidance, and CPL guidance. The flying itself is not conducted by Speedjet.
What does it cost?
Speedjet does not publish fees. Ask for a written schedule per course, and be clear about what a CPL programme at a non-FTO includes - usually ground theory and placement support rather than flying hours.
Where are Speedjet's centres?
The Mumbai centre at Andheri West is the head office. Speedjet states operations across eleven domestic and two international locations, including Dadar, Vile Parle, Thane, Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore and Gurugram, plus an NMIMS SpeedJet centre.
Is the Speedjet Aviation in Ahmedabad the same organisation?
Yes. The Ahmedabad institute - formerly the Indian Institute of Aviation - is a Speedjet Aviation centre, and Speedjet lists Ahmedabad among its locations. This page covers the Mumbai head office; the Ahmedabad centre has its own page on Apano and offers a different course mix focused on airport operations, aviation management and hospitality management.
Who operates Speedjet?

What is the NMIMS SpeedJet centre?
A separate Speedjet-branded centre offering airport management, aviation management and international cabin crew courses. Note it is not the same as SVKM's NMIMS Academy of Aviation at Shirpur, which is NMIMS's own DGCA-approved flying school - different operations that share the NMIMS name.
What is the International Cabin Crew programme?
Speedjet's NMIMS centre states its ICC programme runs in collaboration with Gulf Aviation Academy and is EASA-approved. Confirm what that approval covers and whether it is recognised by the airlines you are targeting.

Given the institute's own no-job-guarantee disclaimer, ask for batch-wise placement records with employers and roles; confirm exactly which parts of a pilot pathway Speedjet delivers and which require a separate DGCA-approved FTO; and get the full cost of the complete pathway, not just the ground component.
