The training includes both ground school and flight training as prescribed by the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).
The Students Pilot License (SPL) is a preliminary pilot training license issued under DGCA regulations that allows a learner pilot to start basic flying training under supervision. It is the first step toward pilot licences like PPL and CPL and lets the student gain initial aviation knowledge and practice flying under instructor guidance.
The Foreign Licence Conversion pathway at RAGAAT helps pilots who hold a valid foreign pilot licence (from an ICAO contracting state) to convert it into an Indian pilot licence recognised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This process includes meeting DGCA criteria for medical, radio and flying ratings, and may involve skill tests, exams or training as required by Indian regulations for licences such as PPL, CPL or ATPL
The Instrument Rating (IR) course enables a pilot to legally conduct flights solely by reference to aircraft instruments in conditions of reduced visibility or instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). Training includes the necessary ground briefings and flight sessions to meet DGCA competency standards for issuing or renewing the IR endorsement on your licence.
The Multi-Engine Rating program allows licensed pilots to acquire the DGCA-recognised qualification to operate multi-engine aircraft. Training includes the required flight hours and instruction on multi-engine aeroplane handling, performance and procedures, and is tailored to the pilot’s prior experience and DGCA requirements.
